To learn more about the proposal, go to http://www.hoboken.k12.nj.us/.

There are two ways to cast your ballot in the upcoming election: Vote by Mail or at your local polling place on Tuesday, Jan. 25.

Vote by Mail

There is still time to apply for a VBM ballot. The Hudson County Clerk is accepting applications submitted in person at the Hudson County Clerks Office until 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24

The Hudson County Clerk’s Office is located at 257 Cornelison Ave., 4th Floor, Jersey City, NJ.

Download the mail-in ballot application at:

Voters who have previously requested a Vote By Mail (VBM) ballot should have received their ballot from the Hudson County Clerk.

To submit your completed VBM, there are two primary options – placing the ballot in the mail, or one of two secure election drop boxes:

  • Return your VBM by placing it in your nearest mailbox using the U.S. Postal Service. The ballot must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, Jan. 25 and received by the Board of Elections.
  • There are also two secure ballot drop box locations in Hoboken where you can drop off your ballot; one at Hoboken City Hall at 94 Washington St. on Newark Street, and a drop box at the Stevens University Gateway Building at Hudson Street and Sixth Street. If you submit your mail-in ballot using a drop box, you must return the ballot on or before Tuesday, Jan. 25, before 8 p.m.

Election Day in-person voting

Residents can also cast their ballot at their registered polling locations between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
