The Hoboken Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is dedicated to providing a comprehensive Emergency Management System which coordinates people and resources to protect the lives, property and environment of the City of Hoboken using an “all-hazard” approach through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery from emergencies and disasters.

Be Hoboken Ready: 

Hoboken Ready is a joint effort between the City of Hoboken, the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), to better prepare our community for emergency situations.

Working With FEMA:

The Office of the Mayor, the Hoboken Public Safety Department, and the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), works in partnership with NJ Transit, Port Authority and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to prepare for and respond to disasters in and around the City of Hoboken.

Hoboken University Medical Center is a full-service, 333-bed hospital with a 24-7 Emergency Department, under the ownership of CarePoint Health. It is located at 309 Willow Avenue.
