The Red Bulls and the city of Hoboken have partnered to create soccer and community themed art murals that are now officially displayed on the walls surrounding the field located at 1600 Park Avenue in Hoboken, NJ. The idea of the murals were to help enhance the area around the park and cover all the graffiti markings.
“We gladly welcome this wonderful addition to the park,” said Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise. “The Red Bulls continue to make us proud as the first professional sports team based here in Hudson County and thankful to their contributions to Hoboken and to the larger county soccer community. I’m pleased again to work with Mayor Bhalla on ways to improve and beautify county facilities and infrastructure in Hoboken."
"On behalf of the city of Hoboken, I would like to extend an enormous gratitude to the Red Bulls organization for the work and effort they put into to making this a reality," said Ravi S. Bhalla, Mayor of Hoboken. "This was privately funded through the generosity of the Red Bulls and the city of Hoboken is incredibly grateful for."
The concept of the art, designed by New York City-native Ori Carino, portrays a skyline of buildings representing the city of Hoboken/New York Tri-State area along with fan imagery showing the passion and excitement of Red Bulls fans. The mural will feature figures that represent both youth and professional players and will depict the growth of young talent to achieve their goals. This theme aligns with the club's mission of raising home grown academy players from the development system to the first team. The Red Bulls currently have nine Homegrown Players on the MLS roster, including six from New Jersey. The Red Bulls operate five cost-free academy team in addition to providing professional coaching to more than 40,000 children in the tri-state area through camps, clinics, and training programs.
Another wall will display artwork of a team huddle shot with hopes of inspiring sportsmanship and team work for participants using the field for a variety of sports

"We hope these beautiful art murals will inspire children to dream and persevere towards reaching their goals in life. Our thanks go out to Director of Health & Human Services Leo Pellegrini and the Hoboken community for their continued support."
The mural will be displayed around the multi-use field located at 1600 Park Ave Hoboken, near the waterfront in northern Hoboken. The park features restrooms, dog run, viewing mound and a slide hill as well as turf designed for soccer, lacrosse, minor league baseball and seating for spectators.
"As I painted these murals next to Hoboken’s beautiful soccer field, I was reminded of the incredible evolution of a player as they follow their dreams," said artist Ori Carino. "Through focus and dedication, teamwork and community, each one works towards their highest evolution. For me, this mural is a celebration of diversity and this great game, of working hard towards our goals and coming together to celebrate our successes."
