Hoboken to present virtual winter concert series

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken proudly present a “Virtual Winter Concert Series” during the month of December, temporarily replacing in-person events run by the Hoboken Cultural Affairs office due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The virtual events include Family Fun Night, a Sinatra Tribute Concert, Holiday Banding Concert, and The Eagles Engagement. All performances will be broadcasted on the City of Hoboken Facebook and Instagram pages.

“Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working hard to keep our annual traditions alive, virtually this year to protect everyone’s safety,” said Mayor Bhalla. “Thank you to our Cultural Affairs Department for helping ensure our children and families have some holiday cheer we can enjoy from home.”

Sat. Dec. 5th, 5pm - Family Fun Night


Featuring performances by Ron Albanese aka Polka Dot, The Fuzzy Lemons, Little Rockn Rollers, Rockness Music, Music Together, Music with Corey and Hoboken Aardvarks

Sat. Dec. 12, 7pm - Sinatra Tribute Concert


Featuring a screening of the short documentary "To Be Frank" produced by Branding Shorts about Hoboken's Annual Sinatra Singing Contest and performances by past Sinatra Singing Contest Winners Greg Myers, Peter Cafasso, Jerry Pearce, Zack Alexander, Dan Lauzon, Peter Cannella and Joe Caracco as well as The "Sinatra" ska band Skanatra, Mihir Beg, The Karyn Kuhl Band and so many other Sinatra Singing Contest Contestants and Sinatra music lovers.

Sat. Dec. 19, 7pm - Holiday Banding Concert


Featuring performances by Julio Fernandez, Jack Skuller, Tom Vincent, Gene D. Plumber, Abbe Rivers, Deena and Jon, The Fuzzy Lemons, Elena and Boo, Emily Turonis, Dave Lambert, Dave Stengel, and more.

Sat. Dec. 26, 8pm - The Eagles Engagement, an ALEO Production


Every year as part of our summer concert series in Sinatra Park, as ALEO Productions brings together a group of 30 plus musicians from Hoboken and the greater Hudson County to celebrate the music of a particular band or artist who has made an impact. This year’s subject is The Eagles. The music of the Eagles is filled with tight and glorious harmonies floating over a rock and roll/country hybrid of finely crafted songs. The Eagles Engagement features performances by Sylvana Joyce, Christina Alessi, Uton Onyejekwe, Leo Main, Peter J. Bellomo, Jaime DeJesus, Kathy Hubley, Boo Reiners, Gerry Rosenthal, Chris Smith, Nick Porcaro, Carlos Haase, Darryl Joo, Dave Lambert, Jeff Greenspan, Dave Entwistle, Josh Bicknell, Matt Scuteri, Ryan Freid, Max Feinstein, Bill Hamilton, Sean-David Cunningham, Jon Andrew, Eric Swintowski, Craig Akin, Dave DeRiso, Jeff Fernandes, Jeremy Saube, Stu Damm, Brian Prokop and Matthew Golub.
