The City of Hoboken today called on residents, local businesses, and community groups to take part in the eighth annual Spring Fling, a citywide day of service dedicated to beautifying Hoboken’s parks and public spaces. The event will take place on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at various locations throughout the city.
“Spring Fling is a reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together as a community,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “By giving just a few hours of your time, you’re helping to create a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming Hoboken for everyone. I encourage all those who can to register for the annual cleanup.”
Volunteers will be assigned to high-impact projects, including cleaning parks, streets, beaches, or other public areas; weeding, planting, or mulching green spaces; as well as painting benches and other public amenities.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and may register individually or as a team. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. To register by the June 3 deadline, click here.
Volunteer assignment locations will be emailed to team leaders by June 11.
New this year, the City launched an online pledge for those unable to volunteer in person. The Spring Fling Pledge is a personal commitment to pick up at least five pieces of litter on June 14. To sign the pledge by June 13, click here.

The annual Spring Fling is organized by the Department of Parks, Recreation, & Public Works.
