The City of Hoboken is relaunching its Hydration Station Program and inviting local businesses to help make it easier for residents, workers, and visitors to refill reusable water bottles throughout the city.
Through the program, participating businesses will serve as designated hydration stations where members of the public can access free, clean drinking water and refill reusable bottles. Businesses interested in joining the program are encouraged to complete the City’s online participation form.
“Expanding access to water refill locations is a simple way for local businesses to make a positive impact in our community,” said Mayor Emily B. Jabbour. “The Hydration Station Program supports sustainability, reduces reliance on single-use plastic bottles, and gives businesses an opportunity to be part of Hoboken’s environmental efforts.”
The program supports the City’s broader sustainability goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and landfill waste by encouraging the use of reusable water bottles and helping reduce single-use plastic waste. By making water refill locations more visible and accessible, the initiative can also help promote sustainable habits among residents and visitors.

Once completed, business locations will be advertised on a digital map and posted to the City’s website.
