City of Hoboken. Hoboken Business Alliance to host Santa, virtual Christmas Tree lighting, Sinatra Tribute

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla, the City of Hoboken and Hoboken Business Alliance are pleased to host three socially distanced activities this weekend. Children and families are invited to observe Santa and his friends visiting the Mile Square, traveling up and down Hoboken streets (North/South) on Sunday from 1-4 pm. Santa’s visit will be followed by a virtual Christmas tree lighting broadcasted on Facebook at 6:00 pm. Children and families are encouraged to avoid congregating and maintain social distancing when waving hello to Santa. The Hoboken Cultural Affairs Office will also host a virtual Sinatra Tribute Concert on Saturday at 7:00 pm, which can be viewed on the City of Hoboken’s Facebook page.

“Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to hosting holiday events in a way that our children and families can enjoy, while keeping everyone as safe as possible,” said Mayor Bhalla. “I’m proud that this year our Cultural Affairs Office has been able to collaborate with the Hoboken Business Alliance to provide holiday cheer to our residents. Thank you also to the Hoboken Police Department for helping escort Santa during his time visiting Hoboken!”

“We’re thrilled to continue to partner with the city of Hoboken to find fun, safe ways to spread holiday cheer, especially during a time when we all need it most,” said Greg Dell’Aquila, President of the Hoboken Business Alliance. “We encourage our neighbors, friends, local businesses, and their customers, to join us as our holiday float dances its way up and down the streets of Hoboken to wave and cheer. Some special friends will be riding our float that kids of all ages are sure to enjoy. You won’t want to miss it.”
