City Hall to reopen to public by appointment starting July 6, HOP bus service to resume

City Hall reopening to Hoboken public by appointment

Hoboken City Hall will be re-opened to the public beginning July 6, 2021. City services will be provided on an appointment basis as of July 6, and space will be available for City staff to meet with residents in the City Hall ground floor conference room. To access municipal services, members of the public will need to make an appointment with the respective department in advance. For a list of departments and contact information, please visit http://www.hobokennj.gov and click the “Departments” tab in the upper right hand corner. The Hoboken Transportation Department will utilize a designated appointment system, with information provided in the following section.

Walk-up service to City Hall will not be available for the immediate future. All guests to City Hall will be required to wear a mask while indoors.

Hoboken Parking Utility customer service window to reopen by new appointment system

The Hoboken Parking Utility will reopen to in-person customer service by appointment only beginning Tuesday, July 6. The HPU customer service will also be expanding service hours to be 8:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. Customers will be able to conveniently book in-person customer service appointments online at www.hobokennj.gov/resources/hpuappointments or over the phone with a customer service representative by calling 201-653-1919 during office hours.

Walk-ins will only be accepted if there is an available appointment slot at that time. The new appointment system will significantly reduce wait times at the customer service window, and confirmation emails will be sent to customers with appointment instructions.

HOP relaunch

Service on the Blue HOP, Green HOP, and Red HOP will relaunch beginning Tuesday, July 6. The Blue Hop and Green Hop will operate Monday-Friday, 8:00am-8:00pm, while the Red HOP will operate Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:00pm. Service will remain free for all passengers, with masks required for all passengers as required by the CDC.

City Hall closed for July 4 weekend

City Hall will remain closed for the July 4 weekend, including on Monday, July 5. Street cleaning is suspended on Monday, July 5, while meters will remain in effect on both July 3 and July 5.
