Earlier parking restrictions have also been lifted from Grand Street.

The Emergency Snow Route on Observer Highway remains in effect, with overnight snow removal operations scheduled by Hudson County tonight.

Drivers are reminded that as roads re-open to parking, to do so legally and within the parking lanes only. Vehicles violating any traffic laws, including parking too close to the crosswalk or obstructing the flow of traffic, are subject to ticketing and towing.

Street sweeping suspended today; Resumes tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 26

Street cleaning is suspended today. Operations are scheduled to resume tomorrow morning, Thursday, Feb. 26, for plowing operations of curbside parking lanes.

Please remember plowing takes significantly longer than the 1-hour window allotted for multiple blocks of street cleaning, so it is likely that not all blocks will be plowed. Should this occur, the Division of Public Works will return during the next scheduled street cleaning to plow the parking lane, if necessary.

Please continue to dig out and move vehicles to avoid impeding plowing. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Residents are urged to use caution when shoveling or clearing off cars. Please assist elderly or disabled neighbors with clearing snow from their properties. Remember, it is illegal to shovel snow back onto streets or onto fire hydrants.
