The City's Volunteer Snow Removal Program is designed to assist elderly residents and individuals with disabilities who may be unable to safely clear snow and ice from their homes or cars following heavy winter storms.

The program provides free snow and ice removal from entranceways, sidewalks, and driveways of qualifying residential properties as well as cars and on-street ADA parking spaces when activated by the City and total snow accumulation exceeds 6 inches.

Who is eligible? Residents aged 60 and older and residents with a qualifying disability who have their primary residence in Hoboken and live in a 1- or 2-unit residential property.

Who can apply to volunteer? Hoboken residents we just need you to be 16-years old or older.  

Please note, snow removal requests will occur pending the availability of volunteers on a first come, first served basis.
