HHELPR Employee Discount Parking Program

Our “Park and Work Daily Debit Program” is becoming “HHELPR” (Helping Hoboken Employees Lower Parking Rates).

Please update some general account information including your license plate number to gain access to the garage after the new Parking Access Revenue Control (PARCS) system is upgraded. An email will be generated to you with prompts to create a new online account. When the new system is installed, all access to the garage will be through Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology. Existing Daily Debit Customers should complete this link to begin the process of transitioning to their new HHELPR account. If you have supplied your updated information to the Parking Utility in the last few months, please disregard this request.

Enrolled parkers receive a discounted rate of $5 for 12 hours of parking (77%-82% discount!) and a streamlined user experience including:

  • License Plate Recognition. New license plate recognition cameras will scan each vehicle's license plate upon entry and exit, automatically applying the discounted rate.
  • Parking Guidance. Sensors will track the utilization and parking spot occupancy of the garage in real time, letting drivers know how many parking spaces are available at all times.
  • Easy Payment Options. Once enrolled, the employee's discounted rate will automatically appear when the vehicle exits the garage. Touchless payments via credit or debit card will also be available as you exit the garage.
  • HHELPRs will be able to maintain their own online self-service account to manage their profile and their qualifying license plate information.
  • HHELPRs will now pay the discounted rate upon exiting the garage instead of keeping a prepaid balance in their account. Any existing prepaid balances on their accounts will be refunded.

Please help us spread the word to your organization's members by directing them to our website at hobokennj.gov/resources/garage-improvements. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to providing an improved parking experience to the Hoboken business community.
