Hoboken seeks volunteers for seventh annual Spring Fling community cleanup

The City of Hoboken seeks local volunteers for Spring Fling, a community wide day of service dedicated to cleaning up City parks and public spaces. The seventh annual Spring Fling will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in various locations within Hoboken.

“I encourage residents and community members to join us for this year’s Spring Fling day of service,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “It is a chance to make a noticeable impact on your neighborhood while fostering a stronger, more connected community. From park cleanups to plantings, every effort counts!”

Spring Fling will offer Hoboken residents, businesses, and community groups the opportunity to work together on a hands-on high-visibility service project. Spring Fling projects may include cleaning up a beach, street, park, or other public property, weeding, planting, or mulching a public area, or painting benches, railings, or other public amenities.

Volunteers can register as teams or individuals and must be at least 16 years old. To register, click here. The last day for registration is May 17.

Volunteers will meet at their assigned project location, which will be emailed to volunteer leaders by May 26.

This event is organized by the Department of Parks, Recreation, & Public Works.
