Annual Waterfront Arts Gala returns to Hoboken October 12th

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken announce the return of the annual Waterfront Arts Gala that benefits the City’s Cultural Affairs Trust and supports the arts community in Hoboken.

The gala will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the 12th Street Pier on Sinatra Drive North, overlooking the Manhattan skyline.

“My Administration created the Waterfront Arts Gala to support the local arts community that adds to the vibrancy of this City as well as the fantastic cultural events that elevate a resident’s quality of life,” said Mayor Ravi S, Bhalla. “Come enjoy an exciting evening to support the arts while tasting delectable food and drink from local businesses along the waterfront.”

During the gala, the City will unveil a special project and local galleries and artists will showcase their work, available for purchase. Attendees will also experience a tasting of food, wine, beer, and spirits by a variety of local restaurants.

Participating restaurants and chefs include Halifax, Il Tavolo, Olivia’s, Empanadas Café, The Madison, Leo’s Grandevous, Carpe Diem, 80 River Street, Dino & Harry’s, Cannoli by Tom Foley and Cosmo Sancilio, and many more.

The cocktail-style gala, only open to those 21 years old or older, will also include a selection of alcoholic beverages coordinated by Giannone's and other sponsors.

Tickets to the gala are $65 and can be purchased online at www.hobokennj.gov/register.Those who purchase tickets will be required to show proof of vaccination to attend.

Funding from ticket sales will be dedicated to the City’s Cultural Affairs Trust and public art initiatives. The events organized by the Division of Cultural Affairs, such as Movies Under the Stars, the Hoboken Fall Arts & Music Festival, and the Concerts in the Park Series, are not funded through the City budget and depend on financing from sponsors and events like the gala.
