In 2008, Ruben was sworn in as New Jersey State Assemblyman, representing the 33rd District.
As a member of the State Legislature, Ruben is privileged to serve on both the Appropriations and Education Committees.
Ruben currently serves as an educator in the City of Paterson’s school system. Furthermore, he earned a B.A. in Political Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
More significant than holding elected office, Ruben is a cancer survivor, having been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease in 1999.
After a regimen of Chemotherapy and radiation treatments, he made a full recovery.
Ramos resides in the southwest section of Hoboken with his wife Norma, stepdaughter Gail and two children, Isabel and Ryan.
