Utility box mural artists

“‘Clear Skies’ depicts an African boy dancing in the rain for freedom. Through a child eyes, no matter what race, religion or region, when it rains, they see clear skies. They see the joy when adults see a gloomy, unfortunate wasted day. I want to send a message that we should always see the beauty of each day like we once did as innocent children. The world may have stripped us of that, but not our optimistic outlook on the world."

Biography

Sayeed A. Syed is a self-taught local artist, with no formal training in arts. His background is chemical engineering in the Aerospace and armoring industries. He was Born in a small town in South India, called Mulbagel, where farming and country life meets diverse cultures. Sayeed lost his father at a very young age, after which he picked up a pencil to start his art as a form of therapy. Growing up in India, his family wanted him to spend more time studying than doing art, but art remained his passion. As a young artist, Sayeed found inspiration in Indian history books - from which he used to draw historical figures such as kings and freedom fighters. As a young adult, he composed portraits of family and friends in watercolor and oils. He further expanded his art with portraits of Indian actors and actresses. His love of art later transformed into a passion for photography. His collection of photographs grew as he traveled for work. Sayeed would love to capture imagery of his journeys around the world. Photography and painting later collided together as most of his paintings are of photographs of his life experiences. Sayeed now enjoys paintings with all types of mediums from pencils, to oils, and acrylics. Art helps me to see the beauty of our world and exposes it to a broad range of people.
