ADDENDUM TO RFP DOCUMENTS

RFP – 22 – 11

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES-JUBILEE CENTER IMPROVEMENTS-ENGINEERING DESIGN

This Addendum # 1 dated July 29, 2022, is issued to modify the above-mentioned RFP, and is hereby made part of the RFP documents. Please attach this Addendum #1 to the original documents in your possession and ensure same is included in your proposal. This addendum includes:

Q1. Are there any existing MEP or structural drawings of the building available?

A2. Drawings are attached Project Description (pg 16) – Please clarify the following:

Q2. Item #1 – What is the deliverable for the evaluation of the existing building systems? Is a letter report documenting recommendations sufficient?

A2. The deliverable should be a technical memorandum (letter report) that reviews existing floor plans and actual conditions, identifies issues of concern, and provides a prioritized series of feasible recommendations with estimated costs and schedules.

Q3. Should we include a cost estimate for the recommended improvements?

A3. Yes

Q4. Please identify what level of detail is required for recommended improvements related to energy efficiency and/or renewable energy? Is the intent to simply identify higher efficiency replacement equipment options?

A4. The recommendations should consider potential energy conservation measures (e.g., insulation, sealing, high efficiency equipment upgrades, LED lighting upgrades), on-site renewable generation (e.g., photovoltaic solar), technical feasibility of those measures (e.g., structural integrity, roof area, electrical requirements, duct work), and provide a prioritized series of potential projects with estimated costs.

Q5. Item #2 – What is the deliverable for the evaluation of additional flood mitigation measures? Is a letter report documenting recommendations sufficient?

A5.The deliverable should be a technical memorandum (letter report) that reviews existing floor plans and actual conditions, identifies points of entry for flood waters, and provides a prioritized series of feasible recommendations for dry floodproofing with estimated costs and schedules.

Q6. Should we include a cost estimate for the recommended improvements?

A6. Yes

This addendum is posted on the City of Hoboken website to ensure compliance. The City will not accept any further RFI/questions at this time.

There are no other changes to the RFP documents as part of this addendum.
