City of Hoboken and Stevens Institute of Technology to provide tennis and continued pool access to residents

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and Stevens Institute of Technology President Nariman Farvardin today announced that Hoboken residents now have access to utilize four tennis courts at Stevens through Aug. 27 as well as continued year-round access to the indoor swimming pool.

The tennis courts, located on the northern end of the campus, will be available free of charge to Hoboken residents from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Additionally, residents will have the opportunity to purchase memberships and day passes to access the pool in the Schaefer Athletic Center on weekdays from 9 a.m.  to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Proof of residency will be required for access to the tennis courts and pool.

"We are delighted to once again partner with Stevens to offer residents access to their outdoor tennis courts and indoor pool,” said Mayor Bhalla. “On behalf of our avid tennis players and dedicated swimmers, I want to express my thanks to the Division of Recreation and Stevens Institute of Technology for collaborating to increase resident access to recreation facilities.”

“Stevens is proud to partner with the Mayor’s Office and the City of Hoboken to offer the community an additional venue for recreation by making our tennis courts and pool available to neighbors and friends,” said Stevens President Nariman Farvardin.
