Hoboken Farmers’ Markets to resume at three locations

The City of Hoboken will offer three farmer’s markets this year in downtown, midtown, and uptown locations to provide residents with fresh produce and baked goods, following last year’s successful expansion of the program.

“Last year, we expanded our markets to Southwest Hoboken, which has been a great addition to the neighborhood,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “The addition of the third market provides even more convenient options for fresh fruits and vegetables, along with other goods, for residents to help promote healthy lifestyles and bring the community together. Thank you to the many vendors and partners who have helped to make these markets possible.”

The Uptown Farmers' Market, located under the 14th Street Viaduct between Grand and Adams Streets will begin on May 4 and occur every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Dec. 21.

The Hoboken Farmers' Market or Church Square Park Farmers' Market will return to Garden Street at Church Square Park between Fourth Street and Fifth Street starting on June 4. It will be held every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. until Nov. 26.

The Southwest Farmers’ Market, which launched last year, will return to the Southwest Resiliency Park starting on June 6. It will take place every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. until Nov. 21.

All markets will offer nutritious fruits, vegetables, and other local products. Participating vendors will vary by market, but vendors include Stony Hill Farms, Union Hill Farms, Melick's Town Farm, Circle Brook Farms, Cotton Cattle, Hoboken Farms, The Lentil Co., Haley’s Donuts, Do Good Donuts, Pampered Pug, Roger's Seafood, Pickle Licious, Choc O Pain, Paolo's Kitchen, Gourmet Dried Fruits and Nuts, and more.

Select vendors will accept SNAP benefits.
