HPU COVID-19 Update

However, nearly every product sold by HPU can be purchased or renewed through HPU Online, and customer service representatives are standing by ready to assist customers by phone (201-653-1919) or email (parking@hobokennj.gov) Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm.

Permits

Nearly all of HPU's parking permits are available for purchase online, including:

  • Resident On-Street Permits
  • Resident Temporary Permits
  • Virtual Visitor Permits
  • Business On-Street Permits
  • Temporary No Parking Signs

If you are having difficulty with submitting your online application for a parking permit or temporary no parking signs, please call customer service at 201-653-1919 between 9:00am-4:0pm, Monday-Friday.

**Please note that HPU uses automated license plate recognition (ALPR) camera systems to check if vehicles have a valid permit or have initiated a paid parking session through a meter or ParkMobile, so physical permits/stickers/decals are unnecessary.

All municipal parking garages currently have monthly availability. Applications for monthly garage permits can also be submitted online for the following garages:

  • Garage B (28 2nd Street)
  • Garage D (215 Hudson Street)
  • Garage G (315 Hudson Street)
