Fall Recreation

Flag Football

Hoboken children between 7 and 13 years old can participate in flag football through the City's recreation program every fall. The program provides contactless fundamentals and instruction for all skill levels.

  • For children 7 to 13 years old.
  • Season begins in November and ends in December.
  • Registration will open on Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. To register, go to www.hobokennj.gov/FlagFootball.
  • Fee: $35 (Fees are waived for those who qualify for free and reduced lunch.)

Interested in volunteering, coaching, or being a parent representative? Registration will be available online starting in September 2022.

Soccer

The City of Hoboken's Recreation Division offers soccer every fall for children ages 5 to 13. Updates regarding scheduling, standings, communication among teams, statistics, and more will all be provided within the TeamSnap mobile application following May registration. For any additional questions, please email recreation@hobokennj.gov.

  • Registration will be announced in May 2023.
  • Fee: $40 (Fees are waived for those who qualify for free and reduced lunch)

Tackle Football

Registration is open for residents between the ages of 6 and 14 for tackle football. Hoboken youths can register for the $35 recreation program online at www.hobokennj.gov/footballregistration. The registration fee will be waived for children who qualify for free and reduced lunch.

  • For children 6 to 14 years old.
  • Season begins in September and ends in November.
  • Preseason training begins in July and ends in August.
  • Registration has closed for the 2022 season.
  • Fee: $35 (Fees are waived for those who qualify for free and reduced lunch.)

Tennis

The City of Hoboken partners with Tennis Approach to provide Hoboken youth with fundamental tennis training through friendly knowledgeable instructors.

  • For children 6 to 14 years old.
  • Season begins in September and ends in October
  • Registration will be announced in May 2023.
  • Fee: $55 (Fees are waived for those who qualify for free and reduced lunch.)

Volleyball

The City of Hoboken offers volleyball to middle school aged residents 10 to 13 years old every fall.

  • For children 10 to 13 years old.
  • Season begins in September and ends in November
  • Registration will be announced in May 2023.
  • Fee: $40 (Fees are waived for those who qualify for free and reduced lunch.)

Pilot Golf Clinic

The Hoboken Recreation Division partnered with First Tee to offer a new golf pilot program this fall. The program is designed to gauge youth interest in golf and provide them with golf fundamentals. The free golf clinics are held on Saturdays for children between 9 and 13 years old at Harborside Park at 1500 Park Ave.

Registration is for the fall 2022 clinics is now closed.
